WHAT IS LAO FOOD? WHAT IS THAI FOOD?
And How Are They Different?
Northeastern Thai food is very similar to Lao food. In this part of the Thai region, the locals speak and eat the same type of food as the Lao people. They even speak the same dialect language.
Lao food is rich in flavor with herbs and spices at most times spicy. As 1st generation Americans, the two sisters Nang Andi and Nang Dianna have adapted a modern version of Lao food using local ingredients while still pulling in the authentic taste.
Lao food is meant to be shared and even better when eating with your fingers. In Laos, people love to eat sticky rice. Just roll it into a bite-size ball and enjoy it with your main course.
Thai food mainly consists of Thai curry, stir-fry and fried noodle dishes. Thai food packs its flavor consisting of sweet, salty and sour. Similar to Lao food, it's best enjoyed with multiple dishes at the dinner table with friends and family.
Khob jai lai lai.
Thank you very much.
