We're Lisa, Andy, and Dianna from left to right. Growing up, our parents worked at Thai restaurants for more than 20 years almost 7 days a week and every weekend we would go to the Thai Temple in Berkeley, California to learn Thai dancing. This was our life as Laotian Americans. We had a special upbringing where we were able to learn about the culture, dance, and cuisine of both Thailand and Laos. We've been fortunate to have preserved our heritage and we are excited to share our culture and cuisine of both Thailand and Laos to you all in Kansas City!
Nang Nang Lao Thai Restaurant is a family-owned business. Owners, Nang Andy and Nang Dianna both have a passion for cooking Lao and Thai food, which brings you the creation of Nang Nang. Directly translating, Nang means "Miss" or "Mrs." It is a word used in Laotian and is placed in front of a female's name when addressing her formally. Hence, Nang Andy and Nang Dianna. Nang Nang.
We are committed to providing our customers with delicious Thai and Lao food. Your feedback and Google reviews are always appreciated.
We love sharing our Lao food that our parents made us growing up at home. Of course, certain dishes require a lot of effort and time so these special dishes will be offered seasonally when available. Follow us on social media for the release our specials.
